24 Hours on Ice "Revival" 2013

24 Hours on Ice – impossible, even for ice princess Kathi Witt, but not for the participants of the "24 Hour Ice Race of Chamonix". In the 1970’s, French rally racers had the idea for this crazy event. In 2004, it was abandoned due to mild temperatures. As of March 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2013, the race will see a revival in Canada (Quebec) (www.24heures-sur-glace.com) and 25/30 tour and rally teams will participate – so will the German specialist for event and cultural logistics, Conceptum Sport Logistics (www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com).

Conceptum is the official logistics partner of the event and responsible for transporting the equipment and vehicles directly to the venue. This is a considerable task since, besides the equipment, there are as many as two vehicles per team requiring transport.

The teams are from Europe and North America and transports to the race track "Circuit ICAR" in Mirabel (www.circuiticar.com) therefore start at various locations. By closing ranks with Franz Hummel, initiator of the event, the team of Conceptum has a real race driver at its side – the Frenchman competed in many international races and knows the teams’ needs and demands. "The race cars are very sensitive and are only handed over to a carrier who knows his trade. Especially when it comes to Winter Sports, Conceptum has already demonstrated that they excel in transports from all over the world to Canada," the rally ex-champion says.

For Sebastian Stahl, Conceptum CEO, this cooperation is important to further extend their leading position as service provider in the area of cultural project logistics: "We are more than a transport company – we are dedicated to handling all kinds of transportation tasks and express this through our logistics solutions".
