Each bid city propose 2 media centers for the 2018 Winter Olympics. In this installment of By the Book, Around the Rings presents a look at the anti-doping plans of Annecy, Munich and PyeongChang. Annecy
• Location: less than 10 minutes from the center of Annecy
• IBC: 40,000 m² (15,000 m² in permanent structures and 25,000 m² in temporary structures)
• MPC: 20,000 m²- permanent three-story building
• Mountain Media Center will be built in Chamonix (10,000 m² total: 6,000 m² for broadcasters, 4,000 m² for the press
Munich
• Location: Munich Trade Fair Center
• Total size: 180,000 m² of enclosed floor space in 16 halls and 360,000 m² of open space
• IBC: 40,000 m² in four of the North Halls
• MPC: 20,000 m² in two exhibition spaces in the South Halls
• Snow Park Media Center: 12,000 m², located on a site close to Garmish-Partenkirchen railway station
PyeongChang
• Location: Alpensia Resort, will comprise the MMC
• IBC: 40,000 m² building with several large halls on each floor
• MPC: 20,000 m², two-story building
• Coastal Media Center: 8,000 m², located in the Coastal Olympic Park
