The 2016 Team USA Media Summit presented by the United States Olympic Committee will take place March 6-9 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Calif. More than 100 Team USA hopefuls for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro will participate in the four-day event.

The Team USA Media Summit provides an opportunity for print, broadcast, online and photo journalists to conduct interviews and photo sessions with Team USA’s top Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls five months prior to the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games. At the event, reporters will conduct interviews and gather content during press conferences, roundtables, photo shoots, broadcast interview sessions and sport demonstrations.

The Media Summit will begin with an opening reception on Sunday evening, March 6, followed by the first full day of interviews on Monday, March 7. The event will conclude on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 9.

The USOC has hosted the Team USA Media Summit prior to each Olympic Games since 1988. The host cities have included Atlanta, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Houston, New York City and Salt Lake City.

At the Team USA Media Summit prior to the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, 113 Team USA hopefuls representing all nine Olympic winter sports and five Paralympic sports participated in the four-day event in Park City, Utah. Of these athletes, 51 had previously competed in an Olympic or Paralympic Games, 92 represented Team USA at the 2014 Games and 28 won medals in Sochi, Russia.

Details on credentialing and hotel reservations will be announced in December 2015.
