(ATR) The Vancouver 2010 flame reaches Surrey today with 4 days to go until the Olympic Games.
Weekend highlights include the Vancouver Olympic torch relay traveling through 24 towns and being carried by five Olympians as it departed Whistler and made its way across British Columbia.
This morning, the torch relay departs Mission and heads through the town of Maple Ridge where ski jump Olympian Michael Nell runs with the flame.
The torch heads west to Pitt Meadows and then southeast through Walnut Grove, Fort Langley and Aldergrove.
In Langley, a welcome celebration will take place at Langley Events Centre and feature a performance by Trinity Western Chamber Choir.
The torch progresses through Cloverdale before it reaches the final destination point of the day in the city of Surrey located within the Metro Vancouver destrict.
Wrestling Olympian Daniel Igali, athletics Olympian Stephanie McCann and rowing Olympian Kathleen Heddle are scheduled to be torchbearers.
A welcome celebration will take place at Holland Park and include the Surrey Youth Chamber Choir giving an exciting performance.
Tomorrow, the Olympic Flame travels through 8 towns, will be carried by seven Olympians and reaches Richmond, British Columbia.
