(ATR) NBC Olympics chairman Dick Ebersol is in London today, leading a team from the U.S. network on its first high-level reconnaissance to the 2012 host city.
The NBC delegation heard a briefing Thursday from OCOG chair Sebastian Coe and CEO Keith Mills.
Ebersol and his team were later escorted by Coe to the viewing platform near the planned Olympic Park for a bird's-eye view of the 500-acre domain.
Traveling with the NBC chief was IOC member and NBC exec Alex Gilady, Executive Producer David Neal and VP Peter Diamond.
Ebersol will be meeting with London media on Friday. It could be viewed as the official launch of NBC's promotion of the 2012 Olympics, the last one in the network?s current rights package.
