World Sailing 2019 World Cup Series to Stream LIVE on the Olympic Channel

MADRID – 30 January 2019 – The Olympic Channel global digital platform presents LIVE streaming coverage of the World Sailing 2019 World Cup Series available worldwide at olympicchannel.com and on its mobile apps.

Live streaming on the Olympic Channel of Round 2 from Miami begins Sunday, 2 February at 17:00 UTC with the medal races in classes 49er, 49er FX, RS:XS M&W and Nacra 17. Coverage continues on Sunday, 3 February at 17:00 UTC with the medal races for Laser, Radial, 470 M&W and Finn.

Highlighting Round 2 competition are defending champions Tina Prak and Veronica Macarol (SLO) in 470 Women, Dylan Fletcher-Scott and Stuart Bithell (GRB) in 49er Men and Kiran Badloe (NED), top-ranked in 2018 in RS:X Men. In Nacra 17, Olympic gold medallists and last year’s runner up Santiago Lange and Cecilia Carranza (ARG) lead the field. At 58 years old, Lange is a cancer survivor who won his Olympic Gold Medal at the Olympic Games Rio 2016, just a few months after receiving life-saving treatment. His inspiring story is been featured in the Olympic Channel original series Against All Odds.

The World Sailing 2019 World Cup Series consists of three rounds plus a final that includes all 10 classes sailing on the Olympic programme: Finn, 470 men and women, 49er, 49er FX, Laser, Radial, Nacra 17, and RS:X men and women. Coverage began in September 2018 with Round 1 from Enoshima, Japan.

Following rounds in this year’s series include Genova, Italy from 14 to 21 April for Round 3, and the Final event in Marseille, France from 2 to 9 June.
