(ATR) Just ten days after winning a silver medal in wrestling for the U.S. at the Olympics, Sara McMann has been charged in the death of her boyfriend following a car crash Friday.

McMann, 23, and Steven Blackford, 28, were both ejected from the car after it rolled off the highway in northeast Colorado. A report from the Colorado State Patrol says neither McMann or Blackford were wearing seat belts.

McMann, who was driving, has been released from hospital. She is now charged with careless driving causing death.

McMann?s case is an uncomfortable coincidence for the U.S. Olympic team, which included synchronized swimmer Tammy Crow. Crow will be going to jail in the next month for manslaughter in the deaths of her boyfriend and a 12 year old boy in 2002. She was driving to a ski outing when she lost control of the car. Her sentence was postponed until after the Olympics, where she finished with a bronze medal in the team event.
