(ATR) U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Align Technology, the maker of the Invisalign teeth aligner, are all smiles this week after signing a partnership deal.
The multi-year, worldwide sponsorship includes development of original Invisalign branded content across social media channels and for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard website. As part of the agreement, U.S. Ski & Snowboard will launch a program for athletes to join the Invisalign Smile Squad. They will receive Invisalign treatment and then share their treatment experiences on their social media profiles.
Olympic champions David Wise (freeski), Red Gerard (snowboard) and Jamie Anderson (snowboard) and World Championship medalist Maddie Mastro (snowboard) are the first four athletes from U.S. Ski & Snowboard to join with Invisalign.
"Smiling confidently is a feeling our athletes know well, whether on the slopes or the top of the podium. We are excited to partner with a brand committed to using technology to change lives for the better, just as we are committed to supporting our athletes in their pursuit of excellence. We look forward to sharing our Invisalign Smile Squad stories and introducing the Invisalign brand to our fans around the world," said Michael O’Conor, chief revenue officer for U.S. Ski & Snowboard.
"We’re proud to be the Official Smile of U.S. Ski & Snowboard and to help Invisalign trained doctors transform the winning smiles of these great U.S. athletes," added Frank Quinn, Align Technology vice president and general manager.

"We are thrilled to have KT Tape as our partner to support our High Performance Squad and the entire USA Diving community," said Lee Michaud, president of USA Diving.
"Our athletes train extremely hard and having the ability to work hand-in-hand with KT Tape to maximize their recovery, support their journey and help them to perform at their highest level is invaluable."
KT Tape products designed for muscle, ligament and tendon pain relief and support will be made available to USA Diving athletes at their competitions and stocked in their team medical kits.
Skateboard GB Signs Record Deal
Skateboard GB teams up with online mortgage broker, lender and home-buying service Habito for the largest sponsorship deal in UK skateboarding history.
The investment is set to benefit skateboarders across the UK and will be used for developing
skateable spaces, including DIY community projects and city center skate spaces.
As a principal partner in 2021, Habito will also invest in a skateboard awards scheme to help facilitate more people taking up the sport, with a structured program to help youngsters learn to skateboard.
"We recognise the impact that skateboarding has in the regeneration and urban development of our towns and cities. As well as all the many physical and mental health benefits for individuals, a flourishing skateboarding scene can add to an area’s sense of community, to its culture and make somewhere a great place to live. We’re passionate about supporting skateboarders at all ability levels and we hope more people will be encouraged to take part in this brilliant sport in the run-up to the Tokyo Olympics and beyond," said Abba Newbery, chief marketing officer at Habito.
Habito is also the principal partner for the 2021 GB National Championships in a separate deal. The one-day competition on April 11 in Manchester will be the only British Olympic qualification event leading up to the debut of skateboarding in Tokyo.
