(ATR) The British Olympic Association announces the shortlist of candidates.

"With Lord Coe stepping down after four years at the BOA, one of either Richard Leman or Sir Hugh Robertson will take the chair moving forward," the BOA confirmed Friday.

As reported by Around the Rings earlier this week, the two were expected to be shortlisted by the BOA’s nominations committee.

Robertson, a close ally of Coe, is vice chairman of the BOA board and a former minister for sport and the Olympics. Leman is a member of the BOA board, Great Britain Hockey president and a double Olympic medallist.

Robertson is hotly-tipped to get the job. The BOA said only a small number of applications had come under consideration by its nominations committee "who have recommended the pair as the two outstanding candidates".

Under campaign rules set by the BOA, the candidates are allowed to send a short manifesto statement to all NOC members prior to the election on Nov. 24. They will also be able to address the full membership at the meeting before the vote.
