(ATR) All network and communications equipment for Tokyo 2020 will be provided by Cisco.
The communications company will become a second tier domestic partner for the 2020 Games, and will be the 22nd company to sign on in that capacity. Tokyo 2020 has added a total of 37 domestic and international sponsors with the addition of Cisco.
Cisco provided network equipment for the previous two editions of the Summer Olympic Games, and organizing committee President Yoshiro Mori says the sponsorship can help make Tokyo 2020, "the most connected Games in history."
"[Cisco] has a wealth of experience and a proven track record of supporting the communication of complex and diversified Games-related information," Mori added. "We are delighted that Cisco will be a Tokyo 2020 Official Partner in the increasingly sophisticated ICT world in the lead up to the 2020 Games."

Gold Coast Licensing Sold
Matevents Pty Ltd will sell over 1,000 officially licensed products for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The Australian company purchased the licensing rights for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Matevents are expected to produce merchandise in apparel, headwear, mascot, publications, homeware, pins, sporting equipment, and sport specific merchandise. The licensing deal is expected to create around 300 full time jobs for the Games.
"The Licensing and Merchandise program is an important part of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games brand awareness and community engagement," Mark Peters, Gold Coast organizing committee president, said in a statement. "Many Australians still proudly display merchandise and products that they purchased in Brisbane during the 1982 Commonwealth Games."
