(ATR) Organizers for this year's SportsPro Live say the event is undergoing its biggest transformation to date.

More than 700 delegates are expected for the sixth edition, which will be held at The O2 in London on April 30 and May 1.

There will be 75 speakers across 50 sessions and tech demos.Former IOC member Angela Ruggiero, who is the CEO and co-founder of Sports Innovation Lab, will be speaking on tracking trends in sports investment.

The event will feature what organizers say is "a future-focused sports agenda looking at the meeting point between tech, business and fandom".

Alongside the main agenda, five new specific forums have been added, including finance, artificial intelligence, esports, digital transformation and broadcasting.

SportAccord Exhibition Proving Popular For Gold Coast

Organizations involved in the business of sport are taking advantage of the SportAccord exhibition available at Gold Coast, Australia edition coming in May.

SportAccord says exhibitor uptake has risen quickly for the exhibition, adding that its prime location together with the SportAccord Cafe "providesthe ideal setting to have business conversations, as well as enjoy the many networking events on offer throughout the week."

The next price increase is in early March, so organizations are being urged to take a look at the options available in the interactive floor plan and register before then.

"Each year we look at ways to improve and ‘localize’ the SportAccord exhibition, and this year is no exception. With the support of Host City Gold Coast, we will be revealing some new additions for SportAccord 2019," said Nis Hatt, Managing Director of SportAccord, in a statement.

SportAccord 2019 will run from May 5 to 10.

Los Angeles Sports Summit Debuts in June

The inaugural Los Angeles Sports Summit will be held from June 24-26 in downtown Los Angeles.

The three-day event featuring owners, athletes and dealmakers was announced this week by the Los Angeles Sports Council and the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games (SCCOG).

"Los Angeles is the place for sports — teams, leagues, owners, venues, events and players — so it’s only natural that we convene a yearly conference that brings them all together," said Sports Council President David Siegel. "The LA Sports Summit will do just that."

The Los Angeles area is home to 11 professional sports teams, eight NCAA Division I schools, 14 stadiums with at least 10,000 seats, 11 arenas with 5,000 seats or more, dozens of smaller sports facilities, and millions of fans.

Organizers expect more than 350 high profile attendees from the region, across the country and around the world. Among the topics to be explored at the LA Sports Summit include what’s new in sports innovation, fan experience, fantasy sports and esports; women and sports leadership; and upcoming events such as the 2019 World Urban Games, 2022 Super Bowl, 2028 Olympics, and anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup matches.

Interviews and panels with team owners, star athletes and the executives behind the art of the deals will be featured.

Esports Business Summit Registration Opens

The Esports Business Summit runs fromSeptember 10-12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The event is described by organizers as "the world’s only conference that connects the entire esports ecosystem".

The Esports Business Summit promises those who attend will "meet and learn from key executives from brand marketing, television, sports and technology who are growing their businesses by leveraging the passionate global audience that esports delivers".

Soccerex Adding New Event for 2019

Soccerex is adding a new event for 2019 while also returning to China and the USA.

The organization, which describes itself as the global leader for the business of football, will be coming to Oeiras, Portugal for the inaugural Soccerex Europe on September 5-6.

The event will unite key rights holders and businesses from across Europe and the rest of the world and will provide European football with an important in-market gathering ahead of UEFA’s 2020 European Championships.

SPORTELAsia Registration Still Open

Online registration is open until March 3 for SPORTELAsia 2019, which is March 5-7 in Macau.
