Australian Olympic Committee Partners
Australian athletes will wear Blundstones footwear for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
The Australian footwear company will be featured for the team’s official uniform worn throughout the Games.
This is the first partnership between Blundstones and the AOC.
The AOC also extended their partnership with Qantas, who will provide air travel for Australian athletes.
The agreement will cover the Sochi and Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Qantas has been a partner of the AOC since 1952.
Qantas will also be the official airline for the Australian Youth Olympic Team and provide travel to Nanjing in 2014 and Lillehammer in 2016.
"We’ve been strong supporters of the Australian Olympic Team for over 60 years because we believe in the values the Olympic Games represent," said Alan Joyce, Qantas CEO.
"It’s an honor to carry the Team home after they have done our nation proud."
Turkcell, Federations Ink Deal
In addition to sponsoring Istanbul 2020, Turkcell announced collaborations with two Turkish sports federations.
Turkcell will work with the Turkish athletics and swimming federations to provide support to more than 200,000 athletes.
A new high performance center has been built for the Turkish Athletic Federation in İzmir-Halkapinar.
U.S. coach Bob Bowman has been brought in to aid the Turkish Swimming Federation to reform the nation’s amateur swimming program.
Bowman will coach in Ankara, Trabzon, Kayseri, Samsun and Mersin.
"Turkey, developing in every field, also witnesses historical achievements in sports. Moreover, still greater achievements can be realized hand in hand with the private sector," said Suat Kilic Minister of Youth and Sports.
"With Turkcell’s support we will make this a permanent facility, raising elite athletes of every age group and providing them with world-class facilities. I wish to thank Turkcell for the support they have provided in taking this journey with us towards Istanbul 2020, which will bring great benefit to our country".
