(ATR) The company that supplied apparel for France’s Olympic team at the 1924 Paris Summer Games is back to do it again a century later.

Paris 2024 has awarded Le Coq Sportif the performance and representation packages for the French Olympic and Paralympic team and for Paris 2024 staff and officials.

The deal covers the period from 2021 through 2024 for all the events organized under the patronage of the IOC and IPC, including the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the Dakar 2022 Youth Olympic Games in addition to the Paris Games.

Le Coq Sportif supplied apparel for France’s Olympic team from 1912 to 1972.

By winning the "Performance" package, Le Coq Sportif has acquired the right to provide the kits for France’s 32 Olympic federations (28 already confirmed along with four potential additional sports) and 22 Paralympic federations for competitions at the Paris 2024 Games.

Any federations that would like to keep their own equipment suppliers for competition apparel will be allowed to do so, subject to the payment of a contribution to a solidarity fund that will benefit federations that require support.

The "Representation" package includes all the apparel worn by the French Olympic and Paralympic team in the Athletes Village and during the official and medal ceremonies. This package also includes apparel for Paris 2024 staff from 2020 through 2024 and officials for the Paris 2024 Games.

"Le Coq Sportif is a brand that has been supporting our major sporting events for over 100 years and shares a beautiful history with our Olympic values," said Tony Estanguet, Paris 2024 President.

"In line with Paris 2024, it is a brand with strong commitments to sustainable and inclusive sport, it has chosen to have deep local roots in France, and it contributes to a strong industrial and social legacy".

Le Coq Sportif will also be an Official Partner of Paris 2024 (tier 2) upon the signing of the contract in the coming weeks, and a Premium Partner of the French Olympic and Paralympic team from January 1, 2021.

This will enable Le Coq Sportif to create and sell licensed products bearing the Paris 2024 and the French Olympic and Paralympic team brands throughout France.

Delta Jumps On Board With LA28

Delta Air Lines becomes the inaugural founding partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Los Angeles 2028 and a supporter of the United States Olympic and Paralympic teams.

The eight-year deal begins on January 1, 2021 and includes the next four Olympics and Paralympics.

Delta will become the official airline of LA28 and Team USA and will co-create the LA28 Volunteer Program as well as partner on the LA28 Sustainability Collective, delivering creative solutions that reduce the environmental impact of the Games.

In addition, Delta is committed to USA broadcasting rights holder NBCUniversal over the eight years, including multi-platform advertising within the upcoming Games and media activation during non-Olympic years.

Delta and LA2028 celebrated the partnership at an event at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles on March 2, coinciding with the airline’s 95th anniversary.

Four-time U.S. Olympic gold medalist and LA28 Chief Athlete Officer Janet Evans hosted the event, which also included Delta Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Tim Mapes and LA28 Chairperson Casey Wasserman.

"Delta embodies the spirit and strength of the Los Angeles Games, and we are proud they are taking this journey with us as an early and committed partner to the Olympic and Paralympic movement," said Wasserman.

"Athletes from more than 200 nations and all corners of this country will descend on Los Angeles in just eight years. We embrace Delta’s passion and dedication to connect all of these dreams and Olympic and Paralympic stories in the years to come."
