(ATR) The third edition of the Smart Cities and Sport Summit will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland from Oct. 10-12.

China Football Summit 2016 Heads to Shanghai

The second annual China Football Summit will take place next week in Shanghai, China.

The summit will be held at the Chongming Convention Center from May 26-27 and will delve into the business opportunities available with Chinese football.

Topics to be explored include the market response to reform policies, the popularization of its campus football program at schools and the impact that copyrights can have on professional leagues.

Former FIFA vice-president Prince Ali is one of the 23 speakers announced to provide insight into world football at the conference.

World Rugby to Attend Concussion Symposium

The World Rugby federation will travel to Berlin in October to attend the fifth International Consensus Conference on Concussion in Sport.

Leaders of the federation will attend the conference in order to learn best practices to better protect the 7.7 million rugby players worldwide.

World Rugby will collaborate with other international sports organizations such as the IOC, FIFA, Ice Hockey and Equestrian federations to finance and host the conference. The conference seeks to bring together independent experts and sports leaders to review and standardize on-field concussion management in sports.

"Concussion education, prevention, management and research is World Rugby's number one player welfare priority and a priority for all sports," said World Rugby medical chief Martin Raftery. "Guided by independent experts and evidence-based research, we are committed to delivering the best-possible level of support to players at all levels of the sport, both for men and women."

The conference will be held from Oct. 27-28 in Berlin, Germany. Registration for the event will open in June.
