(ATR) SportAccord presidential candidate and FIBA general secretary Patrick Baumann tells Around the Rings he is the right person to lead the organization into the future after a year of uncertainty following previous president Marius Vizer's scathing remarks against the IOC at last year's convention.

Baumann spoke with ATR editor Ed Hula in the latest edition of ATRadio about what inspired him to run for the presidency of SportAccord.

"We need to somehow keep this house together, it is not good that it is separated into different groups," he tells ATR. "Coming from an Olympic sport it is important to make sure the Olympics sports are integrated with the non-Olympic sports and vice-versa."

Baumann is running against president of the World Underwater Aquatics Federation (CMAS) Anna Arzhanova. The next president will be selected during the SportAccord General Assembly on April 22.
