(ATR) The secret ingredient in McDonald’s french fries is: potatoes.
As part of the company’s "Our Food. Your Questions." series, McDonald’s released a video fully detailing the fry-making process.
Luckily for consumers, the french fries are made 100% out of potatoes, with only dextrose, a sugar, and a preservative added to keep the fries a consistent color.
On site, the potatoes are cleaned, skinned, and run through precision cutters to create the uniform looking fries consumers eat up.
Consumers can watch a video featuring actor Grant Imahara visiting the plant where McDonald’s fries are produced detailing the process.
McDonald’s continues to take questions about its food products on their website, which can be found here.
