The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) is celebrating International Youth Day by launching a brand new mobile app which will provide the very latest sports news, events and big interviews to the young people of Jordan.
With 38% of Jordan’s population now using a smart phone and nearly 70% of the population aged under 30, the JOC has created the app to be better connected to its tech-savvy younger audience with a ‘notification’ service that ensures sports news and information is delivered directly to the handset.
The JOC has a vision for sport and healthy living to play a part in the lives of all Jordanians, and the app, which is in English and Arabic, is immediately available for all Android devices and in the coming days for iPhone and iPad users.
"The JOC is committed to empowering all Jordanians to be active and enjoy sport," said Lana Al Jaghbeer, Secretary General. "The new mobile app is designed to connect sport with younger audiences to keep them well informed with all the latest news and opportunities at their fingertips wherever they may be in the world."
The official JOC app is free and available to download now from the Play Store, and over the coming days it will be available from Apple’s App Store.
