Star members of the Jamaican track and field team, including Olympic 100m and 200m champion Elaine Thompson, will arrive into the Gold Coast Airport at 2.15pm AEST tomorrow (Tuesday 20 March).
Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) Chairman Peter Beattie AC, CEO Mark Peters, the GOLDOC Board and Gold Coast Airport Chief Operating Officer Marion Charlton will be on hand to welcome team members into the new GC2018 Airport Lounge.
Jamaican team members will comment on their arrival and hopes for GC2018 in a brief Q&A. Vision and photo opportunities will be available. Additional interview opportunities with team members are to be confirmed.
Once the team departs the airport, Mr Beattie and Mr Peters will be available to answer any further questions on Games preparations, with only 15 days until the GC2018 Opening Ceremony on 4 April.
