(ATR) The International Tennis Federation (ITF) enlists SANDEVER as Global Development Partner for beach tennis.
SANDEVER, the new Decathlon dedicated brand for beach tennis equipment, will provide "Superkits" to ITF member countries who want to adopt, develop and grow the sport.
The superkits will include everything needed to set up a beach tennis court, including a court kit, four paddles, and six balls. Under the new agreement, SANDEVER will make available 200 of the superkits, which can be used on both sand and grass.
ITF Beach Tennis Manager, Farivar Tanhai said in a statement that the partnership is "a momentous achievement for our sport".
Paolo Ceraudo, SANDEVER Beach Tennis Leader, added: "To become partners of ITF is exactly what we wrote in our mission. SANDEVER is very happy to collaborate with ITF, together we will actively help Beach Tennis grow worldwide with our products. We believe in this healthy, fun and energetic sport. This partnership is the start of a great collaboration."
FIS Extends Deal with Snowmaking Partner
The International Ski Federation and the French MND group and its SUFAG brand recently extended their eight-year partnership for another four years.
As part of the agreement, SUFAG will supply snowmaking machines to designated organizers of FIS competitions.
To help create the quality snow required for alpine skiing competition slopes, SUFAG will be supplying its new Makalu snow gun model to FIS.
The MND group has also been a partner for two years of the Bring Children to the Snow program, helping FIS increase the interest of the next generation in snow sports. With its support, SUFAG helps FIS set up urban events by creating snow areas in cities.
"The MND group and SUFAG are historic partners of FIS and they have shown their commitment to the development of ski competitions and bringing children and youngsters to the snow," Sarah Lewis, FIS Secretary General, said in a statement.
"It is essential for FIS and our stakeholders to have the main industrial players on our side and we welcome the extension of this partnership which aims at new horizons."
IPC Finalizes Two Partnership Agreements
The International Paralympics Committee announced two new partnerships earlier this week.
Reddentes Sports was appointed as the media rights partner for the IPC within the Asian territory while Getty Images and the IPC extended their existing agreement.
The rights deal with Reddentes Sports is part of the IPC’s push to maximize exposure in Asia ahead of and during the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
It includes the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships in September, the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in November and will culminate with Tokyo 2020.
Reddentes will be the IPC’s exclusive agent in managing broadcast rights for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and India.
The Singapore-based company also has non-exclusivity rights for additional markets including China, Korea and Japan.
"To exceed the cumulative audience of 4.1 billion people in 154 countries that watched the Rio 2016 Paralympics we will need to drive audiences in Asia.We are confident that Reddentes will help maximize opportunities in Asia, as we seek to bring the Paralympics to more viewers and fans in the region," said Alexis Schaefer, the IPC’s Commercial, Broadcasting and Partnerships Director, in a statement.
The IPC’s partnership with Getty Images began 15 years ago, and has now been extended through to 2028.
As well as granting the IPC access to their extensive digital content archive of Paralympic Games and sport event imagery, Getty Images will provide National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) and International Federations (IFs) access to coverage during the Paralympic Games for editorial use.
