(ATR) DB Schenker and the International Paralympic Committee are extending their agreement until the end of 2020.
Under the new deal, DB Schenker will provide logistics, courier services, freight forwarding and customs clearance services for the PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and other events.
The IPC in return will offer DB Schenker’s services to a number of Local Organizing Committees, broadcasters and IPC members.
"DB Schenker’s logistics services are invaluable to the IPC for our major events and day-to-day activities," Xavier Gonzalez, the IPC’s Chief Executive Officer, said in a statement.
"We hope under the scope of this agreement that we can help share their quality services to beyond the IPC so that it can benefit the IPC membership, event organizers and our broadcast partners."
The IPC and DB Schenker have worked together since the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games. Since then, the transportation and logistics provider has supported the IPC at a number of Paralympic Games and World and regional Championships.
Beijing 2022 Secures Supplier Sponsorship
ANTA Sports will provide sport apparel for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the fourth domestic partner for the Games.
Zhang Jiandong, executive vice president of Beijing 2022, said in a statement that ANTA will provide Beijing 2022 and the Chinese Olympic team with "sportswear containing typical Chinese elements to showcase China’s national image".
Jiandong and Ding Shizhong, Board Chairman and CEO of ANTA, signed the partnership agreement on Sept. 28.
Beijing 2022 launched its marketing program in February of this year, adding three previous top tier domestic partners. Bank of China, Air China and Yili Group are providing banking services, air travel and official dairy products for Beijing 2022.
