(ATR)The World Union of Olympic Cities launched its newest initiative, the Smart Cities & Sport Summit in Lausanne, Nov. 5-7.
David Simon, the organization's vice president, toldATRthe summit is organized for governments interested in either hosting an Olympic Games or developing a healthy, active lifestyle among its citizens.
Simon, who is president of the Los Angeles Sports Council, also toldATRthe summit provides the opportunity for representatives of cities to interact with IOC members and leaders of international federations.
