(ATR) An IOC member has his sights set on leading the Nigerian Olympic Committee.
Former NOC president Habu Gumel is running for president of Nigeria’s Olympic body in the upcoming NOC elections, local newspaper This Day Live reports on Monday. His opposition is the incumbent president, Sani M. Ndanusa.
The two candidates faced off during the last NOC election in 2010 before Ndanusa won and "guided the NOC to new heights in the last four years he was in charge."
The NOC general elections also include the positions of secretary general, deputy secretary general, treasurer, and public relations. They will be held at the NOC Annual General Meeting, scheduled for Nov. 19 – 20 at the Orchid Hotels & Events Centre in Asaba, Delta State.
