(ATR) The 2017 edition of the SportAccord Convention will take place at the Scandinavian Congress Center in Aarhus, Denmark from April 2-7.
Heading into its 15th edition, SportAccord is an annual gathering of the biggest sport organizations and key stakeholders of the Olympic Movement. Delegates network and learn about new opportunities to develop their brands in international sport.
With 11 months to go until the convention, SportAccord is offering the first 50 delegates who pre-register for the event a special registration discount. The first 50 to register will only pay $1,500 to attend the convention. Click here to pre-register.
"It is quite a scoop that Aarhus will be hosting the world’s largest international event for sport and industry leaders next year," said Aarhus Mayor Jacob Bundsgaard. "It provides the city with the opportunity to present the many qualities Denmark and Aarhus has to offer - and for Aarhus in particular, it is a great joy to host the SportAccord Convention while Aarhus is the European Capital of Culture 2017."

World Rugby to Attend Concussion Symposium
The World Rugby federation will travel to Berlin in October to attend the fifth International Consensus Conference on Concussion in Sport.
Leaders of the federation will attend the conference in order to learn best practices to better protect the 7.7 million rugby players worldwide.
World Rugby will collaborate with other international sports organizations such as the IOC, FIFA, Ice Hockey and Equestrian federations to finance and host the conference. The conference seeks to bring together independent experts and sports leaders to review and standardize on-field concussion management in sports.
"Concussion education, prevention, management and research is World Rugby's number one player welfare priority and a priority for all sports," said World Rugby medical chief Martin Raftery. "Guided by independent experts and evidence-based research, we are committed to delivering the best-possible level of support to players at all levels of the sport, both for men and women."
