On Thursday, LA 2024 is celebrating One Year to the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games in the heart of LA's vibrant Koreatown neighborhood, home to the largest Korean population outside of Korea.
In a nod to the Winter Games, but keeping in true LA fashion, a custom-made 4-lane street curling sheet will be placed in the center courtyard of Koreatown's iconic 1920's Chapman Market surrounded by local businesses.
Curling experts from the Hollywood Curling Club and Olympians and Paralympians will be available to demonstrate curling techniques, and a karaoke stage will be set up for participants to sing their favorite songs throughout the event.
