(ATR)Canadian Tire Corporation signed a three-year partnership with Own the Podium to help Canadian Olympians "reach their full potential."
As per the agreement, Canadian Tire's data analysts will predict which athletes are most likely to medal in future events, using data from global sports competitions.
Canadian Tire will forward the information from Own the Podium to help both athletes and coaches perfect their training regiments and work efficiently towards the podium.
"We're very proud to be able to use our analytics capabilities to help Own the Podium make decisions that will result in more Canadians achieving their Olympic gold medal dreams," Duncan Fulton, senior vice president of Canadian Tire Corporation, said in a release earlier this week.
"With our analysis and predictive models, Own the Podium will be able to make new funding decisions that will better help Canadian athletes train, compete and dominate on the world stage."
