The Badminton World Federation (BWF) acknowledges the findings of the independent BWF Ethics Hearing Panel in the case against Mr. Raj Gaya of Mauritius, who from 1999 to 2017, held a variety of positions with the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) and the Mauritius Badminton Association (MBA). Mr Gaya is also a former member of the BWF Council.
BWF duly notes the reasoned decision of the BWF Ethics Hearing Panel and its findings against Mr. Raj Gaya (see the reasoned decision linked here, dated 21 November 2018).
BWF duly notes and confirms the decision by the BWF Ethics Hearing Panel that Mr. Raj Gaya is banned from performing any function in badminton for life, and is ordered to pay a fine of US$50,000.
