Following the launch of its new brand identity at its 2016 General Assembly in Minsk last October, the European Olympic Committees (EOC) has now also launched a new website as part of its ongoing brand redevelopment. The new website can be accessed via the same web address as before: www.eurolympic.org.
The website is aligned to two microsites dedicated to the EOC’s two main sports properties: the European Games and the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF). A third microsite for the Games of the Small States of Europe is under development.
EOC acting President Janez Kocijančič said:
"I am very pleased with the new EOC website, which gives all our activities a common look and feel, and has a strong and appealing visual impact. Today, one’s website is one’s introduction to the world, and the professional quality of our website reflects the professionally high standards we work to. The new logo is inspired by a diamond and represents a sense of unity in diversity which is one of the strengths of the European Olympic Movement".
The new website automatically adapts to all mobile devices, and includes accessibility for visually impaired users who can navigate the site through a screen reader.
EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi said:
"This new website, which is the culmination of our brand redevelopment exercise, unites all our activities through a common look and feel, in particular with the new mosaic-like logo representing the 50 member NOCs of the Olympic Family of Europe, who will continue to have a dedicated international channel to highlight their activities."
The EOC’s new website was designed by JTA Design, who were also responsible for developing the EOC’s new look and feel.
