Askar hails handball goalkeeper achievements

Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar received at his office in Seef legendary handball goalkeeper Mohammed Ahmed, who was honored in appreciation for his over 20-year-old career as goalkeeper of Al Najma Club and the Bahrain national team.

Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary Abdulrahman Askar received at his office in Seef legendary handball goalkeeper Mohammed Ahmed, who was honored in appreciation for his over 20-year-old career as goalkeeper of Al Najma Club and the Bahrain national team.

During the meeting, Askar praised the efforts and contributions of Ahmed, and noted that the goalkeeper has been an honorable model of the Bahraini athlete and an inspiration for the new generation of handball players in the Kingdom.

Askar added that Ahmed has built himself a great reputation through his high morals and sport ethics on the court and outside, noting that his many achievements with the national team and Al Najma Club made history for Bahrain and became one of the most prominent athletes in this discipline.

On his part, expressed thanks and appreciation for this generous gesture offered by the Bahrain Olympic Committee, headed by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty King Hamad's Personal Representative, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president.
