Americas Paralympic Committee rebrands social media to @ParalympicsAPC

The Americas Paralympic Committee (APC) has rebranded its social media accounts to @ParalympicsAPC.

Followers will now have to simply add ‘ParalympicsAPC’ to the end of the URL on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+ and Flickr to find them.

"We are hopeful that this change will help followers find the APC on social media more easily," said Jose Luis Campo, President of the APC.

"Our social media accounts have been undergoing a steady growth in the last year, and we expect them now to increase further.

"It is a very important year for the Americas, one that will mark the growth of the region with the first Paralympic Games held in Latin America in history at Rio 2016."

The APC’s social media rebrand is in line with the International Paralympic Committee, which last February rebranded its social media accounts to @Paralympics.
