Napoli enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Salernitana at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday. Napoli were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Bologna away and Sampdoria at home, by 2-0 and 1-0 respectively. Salernitana had lost their previous match against Lazio. At the moment, Napoli are in 2nd place on the table and has 49 points while Salernitana sit in 20th with 10 points after 23 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Napoli, with Juan Jesus opening the rout in the 17th minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Federico Bonazzoli managed to equalize and take the sides off at the 33 minute mark at 1-1. However, each side looked hungry to win and Gli Azzurri then found the back of the net, 45 minutes in thanks to Dries Mertens, taking the score to 2-1. Gli Azzurri then netted again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Amir Rrahmani just before half-time. The score at half time was 3-1.

Napoli fought back, with a goal from Lorenzo Insigne in the 53rd minute, leaving the final score at 4-1.

For Napoli, Lorenzo Insigne, Victor Osimhen, Matteo Politano, Faouzi Ghoulam and Alessandro Zanoli, came on for Hirving Lozano, Dries Mertens, Fabian Ruiz, Mario Rui and Giovanni Di Lorenzo. Salernitana replaced Pawel Jaroszynski, Alessandro Russo and Simy with Andrea Schiavone, Edoardo Vergani and Federico Bonazzoli.

Napoli will next travel to Venezia, while Salernitana will face Spezia Calcio at home.
